Holidazzle Parade, Thanksgiving, etc.

We went to the Holidazzle Parade last night and had a blast! I highly recommend it - especially when it's 30+ degrees outside! The kids were all bundled up, and adorable, as usual.

The Santa float - turns out I didn't get a picture of our favorite float, the train. Oh well, I'm sure it'll be there next year, too! :)

Gavin set this train up all by himself! It was so adorable!

Random Pics

Hanging out in Hallie's crib - Gavin brought Pooh and Mickey that he sleeps with every night to visit Hallie and her special friends Piglet and Dolly.
He saw Hallie chewing on a book and thought he'd try it himself. She's thrilled to have big brother around.

Pretty in Pink.

Gavy wanted me to give them a ride in Hallie's clothes hamper. Good times.

Had to get a picture in the ghost hat.

Bumpa giving the kids a ride in yet another clothes basket

Add Mason to the mix - instant party!

I saw these two on the same blanket and thought "Little. Big."

"Am I cute, or what?!"

Sayonara Sucky Bathroom!

We've been wanting to redo our main floor powder room since the day we bought this house - 3 years ago - and finally got around to it this fall. We had a great guy come in and do all the work for us - I'd be happy to give out his name & number - and I just got the painting finished over the weekend.
BEFORE:
The main problems were - well, basically everything - but specifically:
  1. the lid on the toilet tank wasn't the same shape as the tank
  2. the sink would fall off the wall if any pressure was put on it
  3. the tiles were spider-web cracked all over
  4. no storage
  5. horrible placement of the light fixtures (i didn't get a picture of this, but it was dumb)
  6. the toilet and sink were 'bisque' colored, which didn't go well with the white trim
  7. all the hardware/fixtures were ugly

AFTER:

Now we have an awesome sink cabinet with drawers and a shelf for storage, beautiful travertine tile that makes the room look a lot bigger (essential for a room that's only 5x6 to start with!), a light fixture that's centered above the mirror, a (white) toilet with a lid that actually fits, and all new hardware. And the new cheery yellow makes it look 10 times bigger, too! It's a little brighter than we pictured, but it's growing on us. Eric and I have both mistakenly thought the lights were on in there, went in to turn them off, only to find that it was just the walls glowing!

It's obviously still lacking in the accessories department, but I'll get to that... someday!
